CHURCH CONCERNS
On January 8th we had our installation of new officers. Carolym Hoffman is our new board chair and Dale Chitwood is our vice chair. Howard DuMars is our new treasurer and Betty Clark continues as secretary.
New elders who were ordained are David and Sharon Brooks, Marni Leopold and Carol Bennett. Dale Chitwood is also a new elder . He was previously ordained as an elder in one of our churches in Miami. Also istalled were the three deacons returning from rotation, Judy Franklin, Ginny Hoyt and Jo Marshall. We also received 15 new deacons. They are: Jan Camponi, Ben Green, Pat Kenkel, Fran and J.O. Hurley, Bill and Phyl Briggs, Janet Chitwood, Roger and Gayle Copenhaver, Joyce Foy, Ann and Tony Rubacha, Bob and Mary Strassman.

To all of our seasonal (snowbird) members. Charlie McCoy and Richard Kiser Concert
We have arranged an outstanding concert to be held at our church on Saturday afternoon Janury 28, 2012, at 4:00 PM. CHARLIE McCOY who was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame will present a concert at our church.. Also on the program is another great performer, RICHARD KISER, a Chet Atkins style guitar player. Richard is a member of the GOSPEL MUSIC HALL OF FAME. Both Charlie and Richard have been voted the world's top musicians. (See attached article and picture).
If you plan to be back in Florida on Januaryt 28, 2012, and would like to attend this concert you must act quickly and purchase your tickets now @ $12.00 each. (Other venues charge upward of $40.00).
Please mail a check to me for as many tickets you would like to have. We will hold your tickets until you get here. This will insure you of a seat for this concert. WE WILL BE RUNNING AN AD IN THE CCC ECHO in January…and that should sell all unsold tickets. Make checks payable to First Christian Church, % Rev. CHARLIE McCOY is one the world's most recorded musician. He is known in Nashville as one of the greatest session musicians. In addition to being voted into the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME, Nashville voted Charlie as the Instrumentalist of the Year three times. He's considered to be the greatest harmonica player who ever lived and he's the one all other harmonica players compare themselves to. For twenty years Charlie was music director of Hee Haw.
This concert will also feature RICHARD KISER, a Chet Atkins style gospel guitar player. Richard is also in the Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame and was also voted Instrumentalist of the year. This is a most unusual concert featuring two of the world's most gifted talents in the same concert.
This concert is open to our Continental and surrounding neighbors on a first come basis. The cost is $12.00 advance sales and $15.00 at the door. Don't wait.
