News of Our Church
NEWS OF FIRST CHRISTIAN IN WILDWOOD

Renee Barnes is in rehab and doing well.  Cora Berger is still in rehab in Leesburg.  She was hoping to go home but that hasn't happened at this writing.
You may notice on our PRAYER CONCERNS the name DONNA McLAWHORN.  Donna and her parents have  been long time friends of ours from our former church in Hookerton, NC.  We have been known to visit one another from time to time.   I found out last week that Donna has pancreatic and liver cancer.  She is scheduled to begin chemo shortly.   She's the kind of person that lights up the room when she walks in.  I would like to ask all our members and those who open this web site to lift Donna in prayer.
I have a little sign in my office that reads:  "If a cluttered desk signifies a cluttered mind, WHAT DOES AN EMPTY DESK SIGNIFY??"  After hearing Linda complain about my dirty office I decided it was cheaper to clean it than go through a divorce.  So, I did.   In the midst of the cleaning I found some seminary papers I worked on 48 years ago. (Or at least they may have been mine.)  It was quite a project on PETER THE ROCK.   Last Sunday I preached the first of a series on the life of Peter.   The first part is on this site and the second part will be on next Monday.  I hope you like them.  I don't know how long this will last, but it could be six or eight sermons.   We shall see.
…Keep watch on the weather.  We may have snow soon .

Blessing,

Chuck
